I received an email this morning from a staff writer at .Net Magazine, the world’s bestselling magazine for web developers, regarding this years .net Awards. This year, they have decided to focus on emerging talent in the Design and Development community. What does that mean? It means that they’re opening a few new categories! This years awards will include Young Designer of the Year, Young Developer of the year, and the Brilliant Newcomer Award. Seeing as how I am 1.) young and 2.) a developer, I was nominated for the 2011 .Net Awards’ Young Developer of the Year!
What on earth have you developed, Mike?
Well, I’ve been working with web application development for two years now. This year I’ve done a lot for OrangeSoda, the company I work for. As a Website Marketing Developer, I’ve been working on a product that allows a team of designers to create high converting, SEO friendly, Mobile ready web sites for small to medium sized locally focused businesses. It works, and it works well. We have hundreds of clients and the product can be produced in just a few short hours, with content/images/etc, ready to launch.
Thanks in advance for your support, everyone! I’ll keep you posted as it progresses.
